Ships Ahoy – the time has come! This weekend marks the last stop on the “Tall Ships Challenge-Great Lakes 2013” tour before the epic re-enactment of the Battle of Lake Erie takes place in Put-In Bay, Ohio. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday Amherstburg and the surrounding area will play host to 8 Tall Ships with an array of dockside festivities and deck tours.
Tall Ships 1812 replica’s,
Friends Goodwill and Lynx will be the featured ships docked in Kings Navy Yard
Park, Amherstburg; at one time an official ship building port during the War of
1812.
